The new Audi R8 for 2009 comes in two engine models:
The 420 hp V-8 and the FSI 5.2 liter 525hp V-10





The new 5.2 liter V-10 engine comes from, yup, you guessed it, none other than Audi's new cousin, Lamborghini.  The engine has taken from the Gallardo.  However, it does not produce the same hp output as the Gallardo because of the FSI design along with some exhaust modifications that downtweak the motor.  The new V-10 may provide the extra power that was seen lacking in the V-8, which by itself is an amazing supercar. 



The more important question to ask is the new price tag of $150k worth it for the new Audi? Looks wise the car is amazing.  But, we are only fifty thousand dollars short of buying a Bentley GT, a Lambo, Ferrari or we can save money and buy a new GT3 or 911 Porsche Turbo.  In the end, preference and the type of drive you are will determine whether or not this car is worth buying.
