Diesel cars have been very popular in Europe.  Many Diesel cars sold in Europe have eye blowing performance figures and on top of that they make hybrid cars look archaic when it comes to fuel consumption.  Above, BMW has shown a concept Diesel vehicle that looks something straight from the movie Minority Report.  


This BMW Diesel hybrid with its F-1 design and futuristic look is one beautiful car.  It reaches 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and can also achieve somewhere around 70mpg.  If BMW were to make this car a full production vehicle I think it is worth every penny.  Not only does it put hybrids to shame (which is the reason why hybrids never caught on in Europe, because their fuel consumption is not as good as Diesel vehicles) but the car produces sport car performance figures with fuel economy in mind.  Imagine going to the next party, club, or to the supermarket in this.  You will definitely be rolling around in something unique and earth friendly. 


Notice the rear diffuser that is used in many supercars such as Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and other supercar performers.
