December 2009, the world witnessed the Victoria Secrets Fashion Show. I hate to say it, but most of the models if ever seen in public and not on stage were very unattractive. The extremely skinny annorexic look is definitely sending the wrong message to not only women in America, but women everywhere. Seriously, who wants to go out with a stick? If we look at the Renaissance, a beautiful woman was exemplied by her coke bottle figure, not her table flat bare bones physique. Not only does a show like the Victoria Secret Fashion show send the wrong message to women, but it also glorifies the wrong idea of beauty to men. In reality, a beautiful woman has a full figure. AKA the coke bottle. A nice waistline with some "junk in the trunk." We at COEXISTENCE strongly applaud HEALTHY looking women. Attached below is a link to the famous BBC article that goes into deep detail about why having healthy bottom is better than being the malnournished Victoria Secrets model. You honestly can not tell me that this thins "Angels" model below is sexy? She is too skinny to be considered healthy. Just look at her waist and legs. Women should not look as if they are being starved to death. Our Brazilian model is definitely on track to a healthier looking individual. Notice how she has some "meat" to her legs and has a better proportion between her waistline and bottom half of her body where her legs meet. BBC link to why a healthier lifestyle means you should have a larger bum http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8451674.stm All photos are from Brasil's Greatest Bottom Contest. Model and winner of the contest is: Melanie Nunes Fronckowiak
