"I will bring you change America

It has been one year since President Obama took office in the United States.  When he took office, he embarked upon Capital Hill with many problems that were made from the previous Bush regime.  Those problems included:

1.  A systematic worldwide failure of every major bank.
2.  A real unemployment figure that was and is still near 15% in the United States.
3.  The failure of 2 of the 3 largest automobile companies in the U.S.
4.  A 7 year war in Iraq along with a 9 year war in Afghanistan.  Both are going badly since the objective was never achieved.
5.  A global treaty to combat global warming which has yet again failed to meet any real positive benchmarks.

However, for most of 2009, President Obama solely focused on the U.S. Healthcare system.  While yes, Fed Chairman Bernanke did ultimately save the U.S. and global banking system, the reality is that real unemployment is at around 15%.  The President should have focused more creating plans that would help jumpstart the U.S. and global economy for the years to come.  While healthcare was an important issue, the reality is that people need jobs, the U.S. economy needs to jumpstart so that the world economy can become better as well.  We need to encourage a new wave of inventors, entrepenuers, doctors, scientists, lawyers, human rights activists and more so that down the line we can prosper not only as a nation but as a world. 

President Obama will have to make sure he uses 2010 and 2011 as ways to reduce the U.S. national and trade deficit drastically.  He will also have to find some way to promote some type of ingenuity to create future long term job growth in the United States which will benefit jobs around the world.

President Obama, goodluck because one year has passed and sadly, you did not do too much to combat the 8 years of hell that we as Americans and the world endured under the Bush-Cheney regime.
